During the run-up to the Christmas season, President Barack Obama directed the State Department and other agencies tasked with international diplomacy to deliver a gift to the world. The gift was uniquely wrapped in “human rights,” rainbow-colored paper and carefully boxed in the Obama Administration’s Foreign Policy.
This gift cost American taxpayers $3 million – to start – with the promise of millions more dollars to come. But the real cost will be measured in the inestimable loss of American credibility and prestige on the world stage. It was designed to be “a gift that keeps on giving” and become permanently embedded in a maze of bureaucratic directives and regulations.
The gift’s message simply said…

Earlier this month, the Obama administration offered a gift to the world called the “Global Equality Fund” that will pay for “human rights” groups to advance the interests of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced to the United Nations that the fund is starting with $3 million seed money from America’s taxpayers.
++It’s the gift they can’t refuse!
Under the guise of promoting “human rights,” President Obama ordered federal agencies to offer moral, legal, and financial support to national and international organizations that support LGBT advancement – while preferential expedition and asylum must be offered to LGBT people allegedly forced to flee persecution in their home countries.
All of this is to ensure that “U.S. diplomacy and foreign assistance promote and protect the human rights of LGBT persons,” whether the recipient nations want such “help” or not.
In many nations, sodomy and homosexuality is considered not only a sin, but a crime! A number of leaders from these nations have already voiced their strong opposition to President Obama’s subtle threats and imposition into their laws and culture.
++Obama’s “gift” comes at the cost of moral sanity!
Jack, given the flood of new attacks encouraged by the Obama administration’s pro-homosexual actions and manipulation of the legal system, Liberty Counsel is engaged daily in fighting the injustices many people of faith are experiencing due to the rising tide of “homosexual empowerment” brought on by the Obama Administration.
That’s one important reason why I am asking for your help right now. With the escalation in the volume of these types of challenges comes rising costs. We expect historic battles to erupt on this issue throughout the coming year.
Natalie Johnson, the courageous young woman who protected Macy’s female customers from men entering the women’s dressing rooms in San Antonio (and lost her job for her trouble), and hundreds of other citizens facing threats to their lives, livelihoods, and liberties, have all been assisted by Liberty Counsel free of charge. ++Macy’s was just put on notice by 38,793 outraged Americans!
I am pleased to tell you that Liberty Counsel recently delivered the first wave of petitions to Mr. Terry Lundgren, Macy’s Chairman, President and CEO, calling on Macy’s to change their misguided and potentially dangerous policy of allowing men who deem themselves to be a woman to use their women’s dressing rooms!
This policy was enacted by Macy’s to placate radical LGBT activists while endangering and alienating a large majority of their female customers.
The petition also calls for the reinstatement of Natalie Johnson, the Macy’s employee who was fired for refusing to allow a cross-dressing man to have access to the woman’s changing area.
++Liberty Counsel is deeply engaged in Taking Back America!
On another front dealing with morality and the sanctity of marriage, we are the only organization positioned to overturn New York’s same-sex “marriage” law. Earlier this year, a New York judge sent shock waves throughout the state when he ruled our suit could go to trial!
Now we will depose Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Michael Bloomberg about their violation of New York’s Open Meetings Law, the penalty for which is to void the law entirely.
Under President Obama and his pro-homosexual administration, the forced acceptance of the radical LGBT agenda into our culture (including our military) – and now being force-fed to the world at large – is happening at unprecedented levels.
Our tax dollars have been hijacked to promote homosexuality around the globe whether the American people agree with such an outrageous program or not!
++Liberty Counsel must end 2011 on firm financial footing.
I cannot stress how important it is for us to meet our financial goals this month to offset the escalating costs of cases like those I just mentioned, and to equip us in our preparations for 2012 – including the work still to be done in overturning ObamaCare at the U.S. Supreme Court.
We feel certain that 2012 will bring extraordinary tests of every American patriot’s resolve to defend our precious liberties from the attacks of those who are intent on re-defining our culture. Liberty Counsel intends to play a crucial role in those upcoming battles, but we need your help if we are going to fully meet and overcome those challenges.
