Dear Patriot, As the Christmas season ends, we're looking forward to 2012 and the myriad changes we must make to help put America back on the right track. We must defeat Barack Obama and we must defend and grow the Conservative majority in the House of Representatives. We also, however, need to purge the US Senate of the life-long, big-government politicians who have led the way to our $15 trillion deficit. There are a number of liberal Democrats who we will be targeting in November: Bill Nelson in Florida, Claire McCaskill in Missouri, Jon Tester in Montana, and Sherrod Brown in Ohio, just to name a few. But big-government, self-serving politicians are not confined to the Democrat party. One of the biggest offenders of Conservative principles in the US Senate is Indiana Senator Dick Lugar. Dick's record on the 2nd Amendment, ObamaCare, bailouts, government spending, and backroom deal-making make him prime for a Conservative ouster. We've already announced our support for Lugar's Republican challenger state Treasurer Richard Mourdock, and Lugar is feeling the heat. He made his case for reelection on CNN's "State of the Union" yesterday, and of course he did not mention his record, his accomplishments, or anything he's done to represent "We the People" in the US Senate. No, his case for his own reelection was based on putting fear in the minds of Republican voters. "If I was not the nominee, it might be lost," he said. The problem with establishment Republicans is that they actually believe this is true! They think (1) the most important thing is for them to hold onto their own power, and (2) that the best way to do this is to partner with the Democrats to grow the size and scope of the federal government! The race against Dick Lugar is not just about Indiana's representative in the US Senate, it's about sending a message to all Republicans in Washington that those who betray our Constitutional Conservative values will be defeated! We're gearing up for a full-fledged independent expenditure campaign to defeat Dick Lugar, and we need 500 people to stand with us by making a donation of any amount. And as part of this effort, we need 25 patriots to make a donation of $100 or more. Dick Lugar may have millions of dollars of special interest money in the bank, but we've learned that good, Conservative candidates can compete with just a fraction of the money their opponents spend.
