South Carolina Voter Law Barred by Administration
The Justice Department blocked South Carolina’s new voter identification law, citing concerns about the law’s effect on African-American voters and setting up a new conflict between the Obama administration and Republican-led state governments.
The South Carolina proposal would require voters to provide state-issued or military photo identification in order to cast a ballot. Current law allows voters to use a printed voter registration card as identification.

How would that law effect African-American voters? Do they live in the State or not?
I guess Obama and his democrat criminal buddies, think the Black people are to stupid to get a driver license or a photo ID of some sort. That is really a low blow to the Black community. I have several Black friends and I don’t think they are stupid. I am offended by what Obama and his administration are implying. He is using the Black community as an excuse but his real motive and intention is to allow illegal voting to take place. Anyone should be able to see right through that one.

Well, FIND OUT WHAT the “right identification” is AND GET IT.

But I bet they have the “right identification” to get whatever entitlements they want.

If people cared enough about voting, then getting a required photo ID is NOT that big a damn deal.

They have PLENTY of time to go get an ID or maybe obama is right that the black half of his race are too stupid to get an ID or maybe he is just terrified that without Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and registering one black guy fifty times as acorn did in the 2008 election that he just won’t get another free vacation ticket. If I were the South Carolina governor I would TOTALLY ignore the justice department who by the way is corrupt and criminal and they DO NOT DICTATE THE LAWS OF OUR LAND! You’re right, Ruth. If voting isn’t important enough for people to get the proper identification, then it should not be a priority to the state or federal government. The real ones it’s important to are the Chicago-style tax cheats in the Democrat Party.
Another point is the Obummer Administration has no clue whatsoever what the 10th Amendment says. It is the good people of South Carolina to ensure fair and honest elections, not an overbearing federal government that prefers felons and frauds. If Obama and his cronies had their way, the election of Saddam Hussein garnering 100% of the vote years ago would look honest in comparison. God help us all of this reprobate gets another four years to destroy everything good in America!
Tennessee is trying to get the voter ID also and the democrats are already raising hell about it. For the life of me, I can’t understand why. Everyone of them have probably got a picture ID since you need one for so many different things.

I don’t see where it is so hard to get a proper ID, as you said, they can cash their welfare checks and get other free benefits, so I feel that in-order to vote they should have the proper ID!!!

If people would have realized the putting a bunch of blacks in power would hve resulted in their constant race baiting then a black person would naver have been voted in. You people need to start reading the laws that are being passed. The security law recently passed does not allow American citizens to be picked up indiscriminately and jailed indefinitely. The law does not affect your rights as an American citizen. It does allow the incarciration of foreign nationals who have clearly violated our laws or have attacked us openly. As to the ID law for voting; voting is a state;s rights issue. The feds only have jurisdiction on voting rights when it violates and individuals rights.
To require a photo ID to vote is not a violation of someones civil rights. Many of these poor people being used as an excuse to not allow this law already have photo ID of one sort or another. Many are on a welfare program that requires a photo ID to collect their benefits. Requiring a photo ID for voting would only require adding a voter stamp to the drivers liscense or the issuing of a state ID card with the voter stamp. Those who live in outlying areas could register at their local post office with a county representative working out of the office.
There is evidence that the dems and their supporters have been committing fraud in registering the dead, illegal aliens, or registering voters a hundred times throughout the state they live in allowing them to vote anywhere in the state.
Let the feds files their lawsuits and have the states present a class action suit against the feds for interfering with state’s rights. It is working for the fight against OB’s medical bill and it is the only way states can fight an overbaring federal government.

I live in SC and until you live here surrounded by Africans who suck off the welfare teat and won’t work, you think the world is unfair to America’s Africans. Most of SC Africans do not drive, but ride bicycles. They use their welfare money for scratch off tickets, drugs, booze and anything illegal. Therefore, they don’t have the money to buy a car much less afford insurance. These are the people Obama wants to empower America’s future elections to. The states need to start passing thier own laws governing illegal aliens living within their borders. The federal government can not take all jurisdiction for foreign aliens when they live throughout the country. Local governments should have the right to identify who is living and voting in their localelections. If requiring a voter ID is what they require the feds should not have jurisdiction to stop it. You statement about Africans is one step from being racist. These people are American citizens and have the right to recieve benfits they qualify for. Many are under educated and can not find work due to the influx of illigals taking lowpaying jobs from the our kids and low income workers. States need to identify the people whoare living within their borders. If the fed sues the state over civilrights violations, the states need to file a class action againt the fed. The courts will be the last stand for state’s right and we should not run from the fight just because it will cost the state moeny. That only allows the feds to take over using administrative actions to shutdown states rights.

Yes. And in addition to that, make it a mandatory requirement for those individuals relying on tax payer Welfare checks to take drug tests. If found positive, no check for that month. Three months testing positive, you lose your entitlement….forever!!
