Dear Friend,
Take action now!
When hard economic times hit, families across America rely on their local retailers to keep prices low and affordable. If you’re living paycheck to paycheck, saving the odd dollar isn’t just a mere convenience; it’s a fundamental aspect of financial survival.
For decades retailers such as BI-LO, Brookshire Grocery, Delhaize Group, Harris Teeter, Kmart, Albertsons, Giant Eagle, Kroger, SUPERVALU, Weis Markets, Hy-Vee, IGA, Ingles, K-VA-T, Lowes Food, Marsh, Price Chopper, Roundy’s Supermarkets, Save Mart and Spartan Stores, have built reputations for putting their customers first—in the good times and, especially, the bad. These retailers are renowned for selling affordable products, especially basic household goods, offering items that respect tight domestic budgets.
Unfortunately, these retailers have been targeted by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), an organization bent on using baseless smears to undermine consumer choice at the checkout line. Their goal is to force these retailers to stop sourcing low-cost items such as paper towels and toilet paper, the very essential goods that average Americans still have to purchase during tough economic times.
If consumers no longer had the option to purchase lower-cost products, not only would they suffer financially, but so would American workers who manufacture these products.
The economy may well be showing some signs of recovery, but families are still hurting. These retailers should maintain their positive reputations and reject this extreme environmentalist agenda over the interests of hardworking families.
If you believe in standing up for American workers and consumers, contact these retailers and tell them to denounce WWF’s attacks and put hardworking Americans first.
Sincerely,
The Consumers Alliance
