TAMPA, Fla. – You might think with all the speeches delivered here this week at the Republican convention, that every aspect of Barack Obama’s administration of epic scandal and corruption was covered for the American people.
That’s what one would expect Republicans to do with their nine hours of prime-time television programming – or at least with some of the other minor, non-prime-time speeches. Why not tell Americans what that “biased media” we’re always hearing about didn’t tell us over the last four years?

Sadly, there was no attempt to do that by the GOP. They didn’t set the record straight on what I believe is one of the biggest political scandals in all of American history – and I’m not talking about the eligibility of Obama. That, indeed, is a story bigger than Watergate or the Teapot Dome scandal, but I never had any expectation of hearing about it at the Republican convention.
I did, however, think we might hear at least a mention of a policy decision by Obama and his Justice Department that actually resulted in the murders of hundreds of people including several U.S. law-enforcement agents. I’m referring, of course, to “Fast and Furious,” the forgotten scandal, the scandal that has actually been covered up by the ineptitude and impotence of Republican investigations.
I was wrong.
But that’s not to say that delegates to the convention would have it that way. In fact, they ensured that the Republican platform sharply condemned the Obama administration for the action that resulted in arming Mexican drug cartels with U.S. guns.
Behind the scenes, away from the television cameras, the Republican delegates adopted a platform that says the operation run by Eric Holder’s Justice Department “resulted in the murder” of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
“We condemn the reckless actions associated with the operation known as ‘Fast and Furious,’ conducted by the Department of Justice, which resulted in the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent and others on both sides of the border,” reads the platform.
This scandalous sting operation has been under investigation for more than 18 months, but has yet to result in any indictments or even calls for impeachment from the Republican majority in the House. It began with the credible accusation by an agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that the Justice Department agency refused to prosecute straw buyers of weapons for the purpose of tracking smuggled firearms to Mexico’s drug cartels.
Hundreds of guns sold to suspects monitored by the program have gone missing, the ATF concedes, and two assault rifles purchased months earlier by one of those suspects were recovered at the scene of Terry’s killing.
The episode sparked an investigation by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, who has accused Holder of withholding documents he says are vital to the probe – a charge Holder has denied.
“Justice has blood on their hands,” Issa said in January.
If Justice had blood on its hands in January, why have Republicans forgotten about it in September?
Holder has been held in contempt of Congress – the first time for an attorney general in the history of the republic. Why not hold him in contempt of the American people on prime-time television? Why not tell the amazing, surreal story of “Fast and Furious”? Are Republicans afraid the Democrats and the media will be mean to them if they bring up the fact that Obama has blood on his hands in what may be the biggest political scandal in American history?
What are they afraid of?
What occasion are they saving this story for?
When will the truth ever be told?
When will justice ever be done?

    No maka sumpin you wanna buy no job.  This was a disappointment to me not brought up.  They can give all the tax cuts and deregulation they want but without bringing manufacturing back to America nuttins gonna work.

    Either these republicans are nuts and lieing about Obama or they are not doing thier duty in impeaching this man if he is as bad as they say, me thinks they are lieing and they are a bunch of fruitcakes, we all know at thier own admission before Obama was even sworn in the republicans were already figuring out how to make him a one term president these people have absouletely no shame whatsoever disgusting to say the least!!!!

    Obama has steered America to where all politicians get rich fast, so maybe the Republicans want to also get rich fast. After watching the convention I feel that we are still headed up the creek.

    Not only didn't they mention "Fast and Furious",but how`bout the non mention of Obama steering 700 billion dollars of "stimulas" money to Sylandra right before it filed for bankruptcy,or the raid on Gibson ghittars,or the billions given to the Muslem Brotherhood,or the $1.4 billion they let Jon Corzine slide for,etc,etc,etc,...Why wasn't any of these mentioned? Are the republicans getting ready to loot the treasury next?

    im glad you mentioned this because i was wondering about the ACORN scandals, fast and furious, the red radicals  around him, the vote black panther  thing in Philly, and several others including a funny housing deal in chicago with ram and obama

    Even if Romney's campaign is timid in its attacks, there is always political action committees that can push as hard as they want since they are using their own money.  But if they don't, and he doesn't, and he loses, then one will have to wonder how much of a difference he would have made anyway if his approach to hard-core problems is to handle them with reserve.  When we need a Gen. Patton, but get a George McGovern, our future will be lost.

    It's the same reason why McCain mentioned nothing about Odumbo's radical past. Perhaps this is an indication that the Globalists have chosen their man. I know one thing, I'm tired of hearing excuses such as, Republicans are cowards, or spineless or are afraid of the media or afraid of being labeled a racist. That's crap, all of it. 
    There was one guy who was going to expose Odumbo, but he conveniently died the very day that he was to reveal the evidence.

    The reason the convention was soft was to pick up the middle of the roaders. These are the kind of mentally challenged who open the door in the middle of the night to a total stranger because they can't fathom someone actually knocking to commit a crime. They are the ones who went asleep after Reagan's success in breaking the cold war. They haven't woke up since until they had to get EBT cards. Nobody is sure they're even awake since Norquist claimed the victory mosque at ground zero was an outreach and hardly a peep came out, save for Grover's wife swooning. Well, we're in it up to our ears and like Grover said, It's like drinking a coke two thirds down, looking in and seeing a rat head. That rat head is the illegitimate POTUS the GOP owns, CPAC owns and most people still don't know anything about. If Holder goes down that rat head will be right out in the open.

    I think the GOP is gonna try to win without ever saying anything about Obama's crimes: forged BC, stollen SSN, etc. etc. etc. and just let him walk without any punishment. It's an outrage. If the GOP can't stand up to the NAACP and the New Black Panthers how will they stand up to Iran, China, Russia, and others. Even tho I don't like Mitty Mouse I'll have to VOTE for the AMERICAN!

    We Republicans want:
    -to deny climate change science
    -to mis-educate people 
    -to deny evolution
    -to minimze minorities
    -to demean women
    -to make a national religion
    -to arm every citizen with weapons of mass destruction
    -to ensure NOBODY can have health insurance
    more to come....
