Ray, Yesterday, 51 Senators voted against economic and religious liberty. It was a stunning vote that served as a stark reminder of the challenges we face in Washington – a majority of U.S. Senators are more interested in creating new rights than defending our unalienable rights guaranteed to us in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. This time, the federal government used the sweeping powers embedded in Obamacare to mandate insurance companies to provide a product free of charge and mandate religiously affiliated organizations – such as schools, hospitals and charities – to violate their religious beliefs. >>Learn which Senators voted to violate your liberty. Americans have known all along that Obamacare is nothing more than a massive power grab by the federal government. This latest assault on liberty by the Obama Administration opened up another front in the effort to repeal Obamacare: its impact on the freedom to exercise religious beliefs. In essence, President Obama and 51 Senators declared that religiously affiliated organizations cannot continue providing services for the poor and the sick, or educate children, unless they abandon their most fundamental beliefs. >>Read more on why repealing Obamacare is the solution. If the Obama Administration and the U.S. Senate can so blatantly trample on our First Amendment protections and economic liberty, we have to ask where does it end? We cannot afford to find out what President Obama’s next mandate will be or which of our liberties will be the next to fall under the guise of Obamacare.
