Rogers rips EPA chief over coal permits
The powerful Republican head of the House Appropriations Committee got rough with President Obama’s environmental chief over the Environmental Protection Agency’s coal mine permitting process on Wednesday.
The wood-paneled committee hearing room suddenly seemed like a small-town courtroom as Chairman Hal Rogers (R-Ky.) turned prosecutorial on EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson.
At one point, after Jackson fumbled when trying to name any Appalachian mines she had permitted during her tenure, Rogers declared “I rest my case!”

Well, Chairman Hal Rogers is right to jump on this Administrator who’s a head of the EPA. She doesn’t seem to know what she’s doing. She couldn’t even answer his questions. She doesn’t protect the environment she only protects Obozo and his corrupt Administration. EPA really stands for: Equal Protection Administration for Obozo and his staff only. They don’t protect the people. They only protect their own race. The reason she hasn’t given out any permits is because the people are ‘white’ Kentuckians and West Virginians. The number one qualification that someone has to have, to get a job as head of an agency in Obama’s administration, is you cannot have an IQ higher than 10. Simply because Obama doesn’t want anyone there, that is smarter than he is. Case in point, here you have Eric Holder and Janet Napolitano, and then the head of the EPA.. I rest my case also..

The EPA is determined to ruin the coal industry, from mines to power plants. I wonder how Joe Manchin of West Virginia feels about his buddies destroying the West Virginia economy now. Perhaps he should consider switching parties now. I have a friend who retired from a coal company recently and he said EPA was his worst nightmare with all their unbearable regulations. They should be the first agency defunded and disbanded by the new Republican President followed closely by several other Departments like Energy and Education. That should save at least $100 Billion out of the budget right away.
It is far more than the coal industry they are out to destroy they want to destroy the Nation even more than they have with more regulations based on faulty science that they made up. No coal no drilling, unless it is China doing it, restrictive auto standards elimination of farms and live stock their agenda is to make the USA less than a third world nation.
Abolish the EPA and the DOE (department of education) and return the rights to the states as they should be!
She has probably been told to stall all permits as long as she can to make our energy production situation into a crisis. Like everything else including the financial crisis of 2009, it has been manufactured!!!! For the purpose of destroying this country by the illegal in the White house!!!
Incompetence rules in this current administration; from the top down. The EPA needs to be abolished along with the DEA (Dept of Ed). Not sure about the other DEA (Drug Enf. Agency). But most of these ‘agency’ monikers are standard banners for ‘losers’…BIG time losers.

Robert E Lee, my ass, I am an Independent voter and I didn’t vote for obozo or anything he has wanted to do. You need to re-access your thinking and not be so wide spread with your comments. No one would have believed this usurper would be doing what he is doing, not even democraps, but they are to stupid to own up to their mistake and try to fix the problems. The majority of the obozo voters are realizing their mistakes (except politicians) and hopefully will correct their actions November 2012.
Obama said that he will make coal mining so unprofitable that the mines will have to close down. This is just the tip of the iceberg. America is shouldering the whole onus of the AGW through our stupid government and the EPA. Apparently they are operating on the assumption that we can reduce the CO2 in the atmosphere. Christopher Monckton exposes the real reason for this insanity. Check him out . . . he says that if the cost exceeds the threat, then do nothing. The Greens have a communist agenda and Obama is fully within that paradigm.
All industry will be crippled to bring them under Fedral control and evntually ownership. Capitailism is not allowed in a socialist state.
I live in the coal region and burn coal. Coal is such a clean burning fuel that we don’t even have a chimney, we have a filter. I firmly believe the o’s reason for trying to shut down the industry is that(like car dealerships) the coal barons are REPUBLICAN! All the car dealerships around here that were closed were REPUBLICAN owners, the ones that didn’t get closed were demorats,they are going strong.
This is why we need to get rid of Obummer and his crowd.

You know, I have to ask. “What good are these hearing? Nothing ever comes out of them. The Senators or House Members sit up on their thrown and look down on who ever it is that is in front of them and they all talk tough, and that’s it. They can catch the people they are interviewing in a lie, and nothing happens. Look at Holder, hearing after hearing, and nothing happens to him. What a joke.
This isn’t about green house gases, mercury and whatever else they can think of. Pure and simple, it’s just another method to cripple the country. When things like this happened back in the seventies, I remember convoy’s of coal hauling trucks going to Washington to protest. WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
