Store Clerk Shoots Black in Self Defense – Now Black Community in Uproar
I hate talking about the race issue because there is only one race: the human race. Yes, there are different ethnic groups within the human race. Some have darker skin, others lighter skin. Some have almond shaped eyes, others have more rounded shaped eyes. Some ethnic groups are quite tall and others quite short. But the bottom line is that we are all part of the same human race and need to treat each other accordingly and stop trying to use race as a tool of hatred.
Case in point is what happened to Alexander Calloway of Houston, Texas. Calloway, 21 and two other young black men approached a Valero gas station at 3:30 am, only to find it closed and the doors locked. Instead of leaving, Calloway and his friends banged on the front door and yelled at the clerk who was working inside. An argument ensued through the locked glass door.
In an attempt to resolve the matter, the clerk unlocked the door and tried to end the argument when Calloway hit him in the face. Seeing that the other two men had guns, the clerk drew his own gun out and shot his attacker in the stomach. Calloway was rushed to a local fire station by his cousin. He was then sent to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Police watched the surveillance tape of the incident and ruled that the clerk shot in self-defense and that his actions were justified. Of course, the clerk is not black, so even though he was the one who was first assaulted, Calloway’s father, along with a number in the local black community are all up in arms and want the clerk arrested and convicted.
I’ve seen this all too often across the country. Had the clerk been black and Calloway white, there would be no protests and no calls for justice. If anything, the white guy would be found guilty of a hate crime for punching a black guy in the face. But in real life, it was a non-black guy who defended himself against three armed blacks and now the blacks are blaming him and demanding justice. I noticed I didn’t hear his dad say anything about his son assaulting the clerk first or that his wonderful son bears any blame. And now, the clerk is out of a job because of the community pressure and protest against the store.
When will it all end or will it end? The saddest part in all of this is that it is the blacks that keep pouring fire on racial hatred. They are the ones that keep hollering the most when it is one way and not the other. Years ago I was worked the electric company as a meter reader and one of my routes took me into an all black area of town. I can’t tell you have many times I was yelled at, had someone in my face threatening me or how many times I was eyewitness to drug abuse and other crimes. But the incident that got to me the most was when a 3-4 year old boy walked up to me and called me a ‘m.f. whitey’ and told me to get my white ass out of his yard.
It became obvious to me that it isn’t society that causes blacks to become hateful and bitter, rather they are taught to be that way by their families. They are taught to hate whites from the earliest of age and that hatred continually gets fueled by family and friends as they grow up.
It’s no different than the way Muslim youth are raised to hate Jews, Christians and Americans from when they are very young. By the time they enter their teens, they’re already armed and ready to kill.
Proverbs 22:6 says:
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Unfortunately, too many children today are not being trained in the ways of the Lord and many of the racial issues we see taking place testifies to this.

I hate race wars ! We are not human as if we were we would not be here. There are animals out there as this web page clearly shows. Who but an animal would attack his own kind like this ? If we are to be human, humans must treat others in respect, humility, so until the animals grow to be humans attacks and death are sure to follow. The person killed was 21, if his dad had taught him the way, he would not have been there, so who is really responsilbe for the kids death, himself or the father ?
Both are responsible as any 21 year old with a group of no goods, no good is going to come about, and he should have had the common sense to not be with this kind of trash, as you become part of the trash.
Sorry he lost his life, he gambled, he lost, now he pays for it in hell.
But let me say this as well, if our churches can send missionaries and money to help third would countries, why cant they do the same to help third world inner cities in the USA !

Having had the privilege to attend a KKK meeting when I was 11 and living in Eastern Texas with my relatives, we traveled to Eastern Louisiana for the festivities. It took me a long time to get over that event. Being raised much farther North than that for most of my life, and then seeing and hearing white people doing and saying and yelling things like that, was something I have never forgotten. My only comment is that hatred has been engrained on both sides of the problem, yet unless someone has intelligence enough to stop it themselves, it will continue to grow until it gets solved the hard way. My only question is this.... When it gets solved the hard way, who is going to be able to live with themselves at the outcome.??? That much hate dies hard, and even with the reason laying on the ground, that hatred will still be there...... THEN WHAT.??

I've seen racism by both blacks and whites. It ain't pretty no matter where it is coming from. Letting OJ off because two white people were killed is every bit as wrong as letting KKK members off of murder charges in the deep south during the days of segregation. Both are wrong. Both are the products of hate. The act is heinous and deserves punishment no matter what color the skin of the perpetrator or the victim. Wrong is wrong. Don 't excuse bad acts because of skin color. Self defense is self defense. Skin color doesn't matter if someone is out to cause great bodily harm. Perpetrators and victims come in all races.

I have met many blacks in my 74 years and I have noticed that by looking them in the eye and observing their reaction to their own kind when they are in public,those who have been taught to hate have also been robbed of their sense of humor. Sometimes a good non- racial joke can break the ice,so to speak, and show each other that most first impressions are wrong. Then if a good response is gained from the joke both sides may open up to more receptive conversations. Many of the older people of all races have learned that more can be accomplished by allowing the free flow of conversation between both sides and much better understanding is to be gained. I have gained more black friends than white in my lifetime and that is to be appreciated as the number of white friends I have made numbers in the hundreds and maybe in the thousands as I have so many that I have lost count. Whenever a situation like this comes up I remind myself of Jesus' teaching that if you treat everyone the way you would like to be treated you will have nothing to regret or be sorry for. Those who are quick to judge another person, regardless of the standard used, are asking for confrontation and can expect trouble of one kind or another. As previously mentioned, ALL Nationalities are guilty of teaching their youth to HATE and yet they ALL claim that their Religion is one of LOVE. Those who have served in the Military have learned that the only thing that merits any hate at all is STUPIDITY because that can get you and your comrades KILLED through no fault of your own. Therefore,it is the responsibility of EVERYONE to teach WISDOM to the stupid ones to prevent them from causing anyone,including themselves, HARM of any degree lest they be DISABLED for life and become DEPENDENT on others for their SURVIVAL

Feed him for a year and stop, he will hunt you down and kill you... We have for so long, given and fed, clothed and nursed along many races, black, white and brown, that when you stop there is violence. This is what America is about to experience. It can only be expected. It is a shame that these young black men felt that they were in the right to try to take from this store, and it is a tragedy that this young man lost his life over something so small. But it was his decision to do this. I would have shot him also, as I carry a handgun everywhere I go. I am saddened to see that our country has gone to the "dogs" and no, I am not calling the blacks in this story dogs, but our country has this "give me" attitude, and when it is not given, people have a tendency to take. Very very sad. And now, Sharpton, Jackson and others will make this seem that it was the fault of this young white man.

Once again the only problem that I see in this incident is that he didn't kill all three thugs/goons/vile evil people that looked to attack and harm him, and think that they can get away with it because there is a sense, fostered by this president and his AG that blacks aren't allowed to be racists and are allowed to hit first, shoot first, and bear no responsibility for their crime, their hatred and their violence.

It would be interesting to see a duplicate of this but with a black clerk and caucasian or semitic hitter and friends, showing all duplicates to groups of juniors in high school. Each group of each race would first see the one in which their race was the clerk, followed by any others, and ending with the one in which their race was the hitter.
If the responses from each group were the same, no matter what it was, then there isn't much discrimination. If however if that group tended to protect it's member but not other races in the same position as clerk or hitter then there is evidence of racism going on.

Interesting. The young men got exactly what was due, however, he should have killed more of them. The clerk was stupid for opening the door in the first place. He should have gathered himself behind cover with his weapon at ready, called the police about a possible robbery in progress and waited it out. Now the choice is simple. He followed all the reasonable steps to remedy this situation without deadly force. Unless they broke into the store or shot at him in the store. Opening the door created a real problem for himself and the police. The simple question is why and how could he be so stupid to open a door given the looks of these characters. As for the comments about raising Black children to hate whites, that is Looney Toons to me. Black children see the disrespect and discrimination in society. If the author were better read he would know that today 2012 not 1954 (Brown vs. Topeka). Unfortunately, this is a pattern in many parts of the Black community in general. What is not mentioned in the article is that ethic communities (as any other community) pass their culture on to the youth.
If that culture (and I will restrict this comment to its application to Black communities only in this response). If that Black community passes on its respect for honorable people and honorable actions, and expecting to earn anything you get, then, A) you see a reduction of these kinds of situations and B) if a situation like this does happen, it is counted as a reason for that community to re-examine themselves to see if they could be doing something some things better.
However if that black community passes on its own attitude that society around them, owe them respect or that society will pay, or any other feeling that the world owes them something they haven’t earned, you will see, as we have all too often these last years, what we see here. People marching, demonstrating and possibly rioting, unable to understand that they and the culture that seems “normal” to them, are the mechanism that produced a little hoodied thug which they still see as an innocent little boy. This is exacerbated, in every case by rhetorical race baiters either of the local clergy or organized groups leading “rallies” with the sole purpose of making money from the situation by elevating emotions and marginalizing the mores of the outside world.

I used to be a store detective years ago. And quite often than not caught black shoplifters in the stores I worked in shop lifting. What I found out was GETTING CAUGHT was the crime to them. They look at law as "whiteys" law and they feel that they don't need to obey it and that getting caught is the crime. One time I had a mother smack her 12 year old off the chair saying "I'll teach you to get caught!"...It most likely wont stop until the races are separated again, sad to say.

When the race war starts, it will be interesting to see which "side" the white liberals line up on. Picking the wrong side will surely will be fatal. White skin, not political ideology, will be the defining factor on whether or not Cracker lives or dies. As the Reginal Denny case demonstrated in Los Angeles (Rodney King riot/savage victory dance), it will be open season on Whitey while the police and National Guard sit idly by. If I were a white liberal, I'd rethink my allegiance.
