Dear Jack,

Every February, The President of the United States submits his budget proposal for the fiscal year starting in October. The budget proposal includes a complete plan for spending and taxes for the upcoming year, the President’s description of new policies he advocates, and sets the overall spending framework for the federal government.

So what did this last budget say? How does the budget get enacted?
Join us for an entertaining and informative talk about how the federal budget process works, what is really in the budget, and more on Thursday, March 1st, starting at 12:00 p.m. ET.

To join the webinar, first click here:

Another important topic for discussion will be the difference between discretionary spending and mandatory spending in our government. Discretionary spending consists of spending on federal programs that must be funded every year through the Congressional appropriations process such as defense spending. Mandatory spending, however, makes up most of the federal budget.

Don’t miss this timely and important discussion. Last year, the Senate voted down the President’s budget by a vote of 97-0. Most recently we just marked 1000 days since the Senate passed an official budget.

The Heritage Foundation’s Bill Beach and Americans for Prosperity Foundation’s Adam Berkland will not only discuss the budget process but answer questions directly from you!

Don’t forget…
