Dear Jack --
“This is your birthday song, it doesn’t last too long, hey!”
I regularly use this short line to wish my friends and family a Happy Birthday – in fact it’s infamously become known as the “
Boehner Birthday Song."
But over at the White House today, it appears the President isn’t willing to offer even this brief song on the second anniversary of his disastrous health care plan becoming law.
There’s been no Presidential town hall; no address to the nation; no Google Plus hangout. Apparently the President has been marking the day with a full slate of private staff meetings.
I don’t blame him.
Americans wanted nothing to do with this government takeover of health care when Washington Democrats rammed it into law two years ago. And today – as we continue to see how ObamaCare is raising costs, jeopardizing coverage, and making it harder for small businesses to hire – demand for repeal is as strong as ever.
That’s why I’m writing you this afternoon. House Republicans are listening and fighting for full repeal of ObamaCare,
but we need your help.
Your financial support of $10, $25, $50 or even $100 is needed to help us hold President Obama accountable this November for his disastrous health care law.
You see, if the President doesn’t want to tell the story about ObamaCare as it begins the terrible twos, it’s our job to do it for him.
House Republicans are working tirelessly to shine a light on this unaffordable, unpopular government takeover – and the individual mandate that forms its cornerstone. Already, we’ve taken 26 votes to fully repeal, defund or dismantle parts of the law.
We’re committed to making good on our pledge to see ObamaCare fully repealed, but to do so we need to ensure that we keep a strong conservative majority.
