Dear Jack,

For a very brief moment, we thought we had entered the Twilight Zone. Turns out we are still very much in the Liberal Media Deceit Zone.

Last month, we asked you to sign a petition demanding that the national media pursue balanced news coverage of the 2012 election and not serve as propaganda arms for the Obama reelection campaign.

The MRC Action Team delivered 40,000 of your signatures to major news outlets demonstrating strong support for our mission to hold the liberal media accountable for fair and accurate reporting.

If you have not signed the petition demanding that the media“Tell The Truth!” during the most important election cycle since 1860, please click here to do so now and be sure to forward the petition to your friends!

We were quite happy when the Washington Post repliedassuring us that they are “every bit as vigilant” as the MRC in their commitment to objectively cover the 2012 election.

Had we entered the Twilights zone? Was the media finally paying attention to patriotic conservative Americans?

Most importantly: would they honor their pledge?

Lo and behold, the Washington Post swiftly broke their pledge in a shameless hit-piece on Newt Gingrich published yesterday.

The article is riddled with innuendo, speculation and vague accounts concerning Newt Gingrich’s previous marriage.

What’s especially appalling and hypocritical about the story is that the Washington Post for months refused to publish Paula Jones’s accusations of sexual harassment against President Clinton, citing the need to vet the story more thoroughly.

But hey, if the media didn’t have double standards they’d have no standards at all.

It is highly unfortunate and cynical that WaPo’s letter was mere lip service to the tens of thousands of you who signed the petition.

Given what’s at stake in this election, we cannot allow the left-wing media to lie about conservatives, cover up liberal scandals, and promote a left-wing agenda. We will monitor, expose, and neutralize all efforts by the liberal press to destroy conservatives and prop up President Obama.

Thank you again for holding the liberal media accountable during this critical time for our Republic,

David

David
