Dear Fellow Responsibly Armed Citizen,
I want to share a short story with you before getting into this week’s Concealed Carry Report...
This week right here in Wisconsin an armed robber walked into a grocery store to rob the cashiers, and possibly even the customers. An armed CCW permit holder pulled his firearm out and reports say shots were fired leaving the would be robber wounded, after which he quickly left the store.
One of the members of the USCCA staff asked me about my thoughts on the situation. He asked my opinion about stores with “No Firearms” signs posted on the doors as many have added them recently here in WI.
I told him that although it is every business’s choice to post that sign, it is also my choice not to spend my money at their establishment. The sign’s not only keep responsibly armed citizens like you and I from protecting ourselves, but they let the criminals know that they have a store full of victims when they walk in. It’s no wonder why the bad guys don’t obey the sign too. :)
Getting into this week’s Concealed Carry Report, Cody Alderson finishes up his article on De-escalation with some great things to consider while carrying. I have also included an article from Buckeye Firearms where they evaluate 2011 to have been a ‘good year for gun-owners, and discuss that 2012 may not have the same outcome.
Before closing I want to share that I will be giving the keynote address for the
2nd Amendment Conference next weekend in Dublin, Ohio. If you are there, I invite you to come up and talk if you get a chance.
Until next week, Stay Safe
