Exposing the Left's trumped-up "War on Women"
Moveon.org and other leftist organizations have declared that those of us who oppose President Obama’s unconstitutional contraceptive and abortifacient mandate are waging a so-called “War on Women.” Nothing could be further from the truth!
The Obama administration decreed that contraceptives and abortifacients (abortion inducing drugs) must be provided “free” in its healthcare “reform” legislation called ObamaCare.
The ObamaCare mandate requires religious employers to pay directly (if self-insured) or indirectly (through their insurance company) for contraceptives, sterilization, and abortion inducing drugs. This mandate collides with religious freedom and the rights of conscience!
The Obama administration has placed its radical abortion agenda above the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. This administration does not care about the Constitution or your rights to conscience and free exercise of religion.
Leftists who want the unconstitutional ObamaCare entitlement to be fully implemented and believe that it’s somehow a woman’s “right” to have access to these drugs through taxpayer and religious employer subsidies have now declared those who disagree with their view to be waging a…“War on Women!”
This is the vitriolic spin that leftists are now employing to sway public opinion toward an Obama edict that blatantly tramples on the rights of all Americans.
I truly believe that the ObamaCare “mandates” battleground we are fighting on may be the toughest political fight we face in our lifetime.
This “abortion mandate” battle may well be the pivotal engagement in the left’s attack on the Constitution, and it is rapidly escalating!
ACTION: Together, we must stand together and declare the TRUTH about Barack Obama’s socialist, pro-abortion agenda.
Right now, Congressman Jeff Fortenberry’s “Respect for Rights of Conscience Act,” is making its way through the House of Representatives. It now has 220 co-sponsors.
This Act, “…would repeal the controversial [ObamaCare] mandate, amending the 2010 health care law to preserve conscience rights for religious institutions, health care providers, and small businesses who pay for health care coverage.”
That’s why we are planning a delivery of our petition, “Stop Barack Obama's subversion of our religious civil liberties and conscience rights!” to members of the House of Representatives next Tuesday.
In light of the trumped-up leftist hype about what they call a “War on Women” – we must have 100,000 signatures on this petition before we deliver it to key Congressmen.
