This week in Guns & Patriots...
Neil W. McCabe, Editor
Dear Guns & Patriots readers,
The weeks go by and we are still waiting for the Senate to pass a bill to accompany the Stearns-Shuler national reciprocity for concealed right-to-carry bill that passed the House. Hopefully, time will not run out. There is a temptation to wait for the next Congress, and then write a stronger bill.
For what it is worth, I still adhere to a rule I learned playing Spades on Cutter Campbell: "When in doubt, take the book."
With so many Senate Democrats up for re-election, it is foolish to waste this opportunity. Foolish that is if your goal is to restore gun rights. If one has other goals, then maybe it is better to let it go with the hope that one day in the future gun wrongs will be made gun rights.
This week, I want to introduce Jarrett Stepman. Jarrett will come on as my associate editor to help me with loading the web pages and keeping things organized. He is a wonderful storyteller in his own right and his understanding of American politics and history make him my welcomed companion. Most importantly, as a son of the West, Jarrett is a lifelong shooter and hunter.
Sadly, though, Brian H. Darling and I are suspending the Guns & Patriots podcast until July. The demands of projects and scheduling have always been a nuisance, but they will make things impossible for the next four months. This was a tough call. Thank you to everyone who listened and downloaded.
With the housekeeping out of the way, please take a look at this week's roster—it is awesome!
Enjoy,

Neil W. McCabe
Editor, Guns & Patriots

Good Lord, what would we do without the Second Amendment Foundation?
