 Dear Patriot,  I emailed yesterday to tell you about our most recent endorsement: combat veteran and great conservative Ilario Pantano. And I apologize, as I did not lay out well why we are endorsing in this race, nor did I effectively communicate why Pantano will make a great conservative leader in the House of Representatives. First, this is a district that has not elected a Republican since 1868, and incumbent Democrat Mike McIntyre has been in office for 16 years! It's time for some fresh blood in this district, and the newly drawn lines give us an opportunity to do just that! Republicans now show an 11-point voting registration edge in the district, giving a great patriot like Ilario Pantano an excellent opportunity to pull off a historic victory! Second, Ilario Pantano will make an excellent Congressman and will represent "We the People" with honor. He served in Operation Desert Storm, and after 9-11 he re-enlisted in the Marines and served another tour of duty in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. This selfless act of patriotism represents the kind of person we need in Washington: one who will put country first!  We often complain about the type of politician we see in Washington. We see self-serving men and women who act more out of ambition and greed than out of public service and patriotism, and we are rightfully disgusted. We have an opportunity now, however, to support a public servant we can be proud of. We have an opportunity to support a man who not once, but twice, put himself in danger in order to serve his country. And we have an opportunity to support a man who will be a rabid defender of the constitution in the halls of Congress.
