Union teachers discuss pushing Marxism in elementary and high school classrooms
The video description explains: “Sarah Knopp, a Los Angeles teachers union leader (in the Tax the Rich shirt) and Megan Behrent a New York City teacher affiliated with the International Socialist Organization, explain how to push Marxism in the public school classroom.”
The first half of the video is a bit difficult to hear as Knopp’s voice is muted. She explains how a student-led strike in Puerto Rico was influenced because the students had been inspired by teachers went on strike before them. The students just mimicked their socialist teachers. Knopp comments,
What can you do to empower students to fight for justice [a Marxist code word]? Fighting for our own justice is one of the best things we can do to set an example.
(FYI: “Justice” normally means having things right by the rule of law. When used by conservatives it means private property and individual responsibility for your actions. When Marxists, Socialists, and other miscreants use the word, the redistribution of property by government coercion is built into it. By fighting for “justice,” these types mean fighting to have government give them and theirs more of the money you earn.)
It gets better. The second half of the video is more clear as Behrent asks, “How do you actually as a teacher in a classroom kind of promote ideas of Marxism . . . ?” She answers,
Part of it is, particularly at a high school level or elementary school level you have to be careful. . . . Wherever you possibly can, part of it is actually just allowing room for critical thought in the classroom, and allowing for students to think for themselves, to talk about issues wherever possible to bring in history, and, you know, radical people from the past who fought for that kind of thing. And I think that there is space to do that even if there’s limitations on it; that we have to do to try to provide that room in our classrooms. I think radicals and socialists have a particular role to play in fighting for that type of education.
So, here is a glossary parents may find helpful to understand the socialist teachers’ union agenda:
“Allowing room” = Hijacking time from basic subjects in order to make room radicalism and socialist agendas
“Critical thought” = Criticizing traditional beliefs from the perspective of radicalism
“Think for themselves” = Influencing students with radical ideas their parents would not approve of
“History” = the feats of socialist heroes as told by socialists
“Radicals and Socialists” = the people who teach your children in public schools
“Wherever possible” = every day, several times a day, in every subject

Parents, do you know what your child's teacher is filling your child's head with? Are you permitted to see the daily class context? How do you know that you child is not being indoctrinated with a world view that you do not agree with? Is your childs school district willing to let you sit in some of the classes? Do you see the questions on the social studies tests? Does your PTA discuss your questions about what is being taught? THINK ABOUT IT.

Does being union suddenly mean taking leave of common sense? Oh yeah, I forgot, there's nothing resembling common sense in this administration that is determined to change America into something without the freedoms we've enjoyed for decades. The frightening element is that so many 'sheeple' are listening to only the liberal point of view that main-stream media reports.

Home schooling is the answer. We pay taxes to have state run schools bend our children's minds with Marxist crap? The ugly one with the glasses said it, While her students are limited to a job at McDonalds, ... dah ... why are they at McDonalds? because you didn't teach the ciriculum you were supposed to and when it came time for them to test with the rest of the nation in the SATs they didn't know what the questions were about because you had spent the semester talking about Marx and the students had no idea what the Canterbury Tales were. I remember when this started in the 1960's. Teachers would go off on personal tangents and not cover the material we had to be tested on. This goes way back. Tax my patience, never mind the rich.

well there you go;; communists always target the youth;; they trust them and it is an atrocious act; my mother taught 2nd grade for 35 years; she made a prophetic statement when she said;" once the federal government sends money to the schools it will take them over". HOME SCHOOLING AND VOUCHERS is the way to stop the indoctrination process, of course the school systems are fighting these programs violently.
I asked my daughter on a regular basis what her teachers talked about, not the subject they taught. I would then show my daughter how the teacher(s) was wrong in what he / she was discussing. Fortunately by doing this my daughter was able to ask questions on her own. I think it irritated her teachers and professors. You can take your kids out of school but unless they're exposed to the lefts agenda and how to deal with them you're taking away their chance to form a solid learning experience. Just don't assume the teachers are only teaching the subject matter. And go to the "open house" meetings so you can form an opinion about the teachers. Stay involved. ...and no I'm not a teacher.

As a former Boad of Education President in my home town I was able to see what was going on. How about a male high school teacher having pot parties for students in his apartment? How about a Senior High School female teacher having sex with a senior studnt? When we learned about this we called in th Board Attorney to discuss dismissing these two teachers. His advice -- encourage them to move on! If we tried to fire them the NEA would defend them and we would possibly have years in court. It would cost thousands of dollars. Then -- if we lost we would have to pay NEA court costs also. There are many stories I could relate on this subject. Get rid of the Department of Education and turn the schools back to local boards where people in the community know what is going on. The NEA is not the friend of education.
Time to homeschool your kids...and if the government tries to stop that, then time to stand with God and ask him to help our children. As the bible says, we're not dealing with flesh, we're dealing with satan that works in high places. We're fighting a spiritual war, folks. And we need to win...for our children, our families, our friends and all those that love God.

February 28, 2006, an article appeared in the Washington Post written by James Taranto. The article described a very disturbing conversation recorded by a reporter after a speech given by Colman McCarthy, who teaches a “peace studies course” at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. After the speech, a group of teachers was discussing the topics presented and agreed that some of McCarthy’s ideas would not be approved by parents or school boards.
I know some countries that would welcome these people wit open arms. Maybe no not maybe they should just leave this country and never come back. I served this country defending it from the Marxist idealist in this world and we still do today. Kruschev said he would bury us from within. Allowing women like this to get her way will do just that she needs to be just sent away we have become so footloose and liberal that this country will never be a full democracy or a republic again. Wake up America!!!!!

Since liberals/marxists tend not to have children but abortions, they need to control and indoctrinate our children. If all conservatives either home educated or used private Christian schools, these evil ideas would die a natural death. Of course, that assumes they wouldn't legally intervene and force what to teach. This has already begun here in Canada where provinces are forcing immoral teaching upon private schools and home educators.
