50 Facts About The U.S. Economy That Will Shock You
Posted on December 19, 2011 by Conservative Byte

“Even though most Americans have become very frustrated with this economy, the reality is that the vast majority of them still have no idea just how bad our economic decline has been or how much trouble we are going to be in if we don’t make dramatic changes immediately,” writes The Economic Collapse (TEC).

For those unfamiliar with this site, TEC is an economic blog that regularly compiles a comprehensive list of the most startling and unsettling facts about the U.S. economy.

Why? Because Americans need to understand that U.S. economy is precariously balanced on the edge of full-blown collapse.

“If we do not educate the American people about how deathly ill the U.S. economy has become, then they will just keep falling for the same old lies that our politicians keep telling them. Just ‘tweaking’ things here and there is not going to fix this economy,” the site explains.

Indeed, America’s economic situation has become increasingly unstable. However, what’s arguably more disconcerting than the state of the U.S. economy is the fact many Americans are largely–if not completely–unaware of just how serious things have become.

“America is consuming far more wealth than it is producing and our debt is absolutely exploding,” TEC explains. “If we stay on this current path, an economic collapse is inevitable. Hopefully the crazy economic numbers from 2011 that I have included in this article will be shocking enough to wake some people up.”

The only thing that’s preventing us from being like Greece is our ability to
print more dollars. YET the fact that the Federal Reserve has printed so many
is at the root of our problem. Buying our debt ie, QE1, QE2, and probably soon —
QE3, gives a false sense of security.
WHAT happened to the old policy of the Fed. JUST managing inflation ?
WHAT’S going to happen when the dollar is no longer the world standard currency ?

That’s not an idle question. Nations around the world are working on this
at this very moment.

Our government constantly lies to us. Unemployment figures they say are at 8.6%, when anybody with half a brain knows that’s not true, I’d put a guess that 18 to 20% would be the more realistic figure. I feel for the people that are unemployed, but I don’t think we can keep on extending unemployment benefits forever. I too got laid off 3 years ago, but I was lucky enough to be able to take a retirement, and get out of this country’s rat race. I’m tired of hearing O’Bama telling everyone that you’ve got to go to college, we need more vocational schooling, not everyone is college material, why waste the money, when industry is clamoring for tradesman to fill the shoes of the ones retiring. O’Bama is a total worthless idiot, he has no leadership ability at all. He talks big PERIOD. He’s an ILLEGAL/MUSLIM SOB, who never should have gotten as far in politics as he did, let alone sneaking into the presidency????

Your guess on the unemployment number is low. The Obama administration has been dropping unemployed workers, who have been unemployed for 99 weeks or more, from the unemployment numbers, and 99 weeks is almost 2 years. That means that everyone that lost their job in Obama’s first year in office is no longer counted in the unemployment numbers, and the reason the unemploymnet rate has come down each of the last four months, because those months 99 weeks ago were the months that the most people had lost their jobs, and are now no longer counted in the unemployment numbers, hence the decline in the unemployment rate each month for the last 4 months. If Obama wins re-election and continues the policies he has to date, by the end of his second term, and the way his administration calculates the number of unemployed, he’ll have the unemplyment rate below 2.0%, but more than half of all Americans will be without a job.

The ‘Cloward-Piven Strategy’ mainstay of Obama’s policy will accomplish the stated objective of collapsing this country. How sad that so few Americans have even bothered to read about where the neo-left socialist are taking this country. Be afraid.

I am very concerned that the majority of the American people are still oblivious to the dangers this country is facing! I’m afraid most of the sheeple won’t awaken from their “Jersey Shore ” coma until AFTER our economy collapses and the socialists will present themselves as the saviors of the American people.

You can blame the main stream media, and the general public’s devil may care attitute. The media has never been so biased as it is now. People watch TV reruns instead of the news. These people are voters too, isn’t that scary. The truth is that if they watch ABC, NBC, CBS, AND THEIR CABLE AFFILIATES, or read the liberal news papers, all they get is the socialist messages.

About 2-3 years ago, I realized that some of my financial advisors were correct: the USA is headed for a financial meltdown with a collapsing dollar if we continue on our same big government/big deficit spending. I started buying gold & silver. It’s been the best investment I ever made. I continue to buy small amounts each month until our present failing economic policies change… or the US Dollar collapses. I expect in 1-2 years I’ll have to decide if I should sell at least have the gold & silver when they cross the $3,000 & $100/oz marks.
