Liberty Counsel We are proud Americans! We believe in the principles of our Constitution and Declaration of Independence. These are among the core reasons Anita and I entered the field of law and founded Liberty Counsel twenty three years ago. Our overwhelming desire is for America to return to her core values. In 2012, I am once again calling on you to join me. Please see my message below – Mat. Jack, If you sometimes feel like the America we love is unraveling at the seams, you are correct. Our Constitution is under vicious attack and is being systematically marginalized. If liberal legal thinkers have their way, the Constitution will “evolve” to the point of being completely unrecognizable. A socialistic mandate is being enacted throughout our government. Political correctness has replaced the cherished values of our founding principles. We are being pushed toward becoming a European-style democracy with an all-powerful central government. Right now, our beloved nation is at a crossroads. ++Liberty Counsel has risen to the challenge! This is a call to active citizenship – a call that requires us to put aside apathy and to commit ourselves to fight for our God-given liberties. We are called to influence civil government through prayer and action so that we can, “lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:2). We MUST advance! We cannot remain “status quo,” and by no means can we lose ground! As we enter 2012, the final battle has begun! We need to stop the anti-American policies we have witnessed over the past three years and restore the Constitution and adherence to the first principles that made America great! The Declaration of Independence says… “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” I am deeply thankful for the Founding Fathers who crafted these documents and for the millions who have fought for our liberties and freedom over the years. I will not allow a handful of people to rewrite the past in order to reduce our nation to being a small part of some ill-conceived global society! That is why the awakening of patriotic citizens across the nation WILL transform our nation’s political landscape. We MUST stand together now – and throughout 2012 – or we could lose our liberties for all time! ++Every day, we are fighting for moral and fiscal sanity! Liberty Counsel’s vision is to “Take Back America” by restoring our nation’s core values, love of freedom, individual responsibility, fiscal and moral accountability, sanctity of life and marriage, and our Judeo-Christian heritage. I have shared with you over the past few days that we need to raise $200,000 from our on-line community by the end of December to equip us for the many challenges ahead. Modern American patriots know that standing up to tyranny is just as important today as it was for Patrick Henry and his compatriots during the revolutionary period. Tyrants must be resisted in every generation! In this 2012 election year, Liberty Counsel’s campaigns and strategies will provide opportunities for hundreds of thousands of Americans to stand against the increasingly tyrannical actions of the bureaucratic power centers. I rely upon our Liberty Counsel team members, God-fearing patriots like you, to be eager and passionate when it comes to preserving our liberties. You have long ago proven to be faithfully engaged in the defense of our freedoms and the moral, ethical and religious foundations that our country was founded upon! These are qualities that lead to superior citizenship and are the very characteristics our Founders said would be necessary for our nation to succeed. Citizens in the grassroots awakening are much more engaged, more patriotic, more informed, and more God-fearing than the general public. These are admirable qualities, indeed.
