Is Santorum this week's Gingrich, Cain, Perry, Bachmann?

In the race for the GOP presidential nomination, there is Mitt Romney, and there is the anti-Romney. The anti-Romney has changed throughout the months. First appearing as Rep. Michele Bachmann, the anti-Romney gave conservatives hope. Voters who were looking for a conservative standard bearer, certainly did not want to support Romney, and they threw there support to Bachmann. Times certainly have changed...

So, What Actually Came of the 'Shellacking' of 2010?

We were so full of "hope" for "change." No, I am not talking about the election of Barack Obama, one of the most effective Progressive presidents in American history. I am speaking of the excitement felt within the Conservative, Libertarian and Center Right and Left political communities after the 2010 election delivered the House and a non-filibuster proof Senate to the American people. Finally, most of us thought, some balance in the federal government.

Another tough day in Hawaii

Have you seen any coverage of the president's $4,000,000 vacation in Hawaii? Never fear, the British press is doing the job that American media refuses to do.

A Tumultuous Year To Come
A year ago, this column questioned whether the 112th Congress -- with its new speaker of the House, John Boehner -- could "overcome the inane policies of its predecessors" and "mend Washington's free-spending ways." We all know how that turned out.

Bachmann vows to stay in GOP race despite setbacks
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Vowing to press ahead through the Iowa caucuses, Republican Michele Bachmann dismissed the notion Thursday that her presidential campaign was in disarray.

Blind to Their Liberal Biases
I think it's very difficult for any of us to be objective about any subject, especially something we care deeply about, but my objective observation is that liberals tend to be less aware of and less willing to admit their biases.

Re: Battle Over Voter ID Laws Heats Up in the States (Fresh Ink)

The GOP has to win the coming election. All this year, I've seen on the news how the GOP "lets" the media beat up on them. When the president complains about the CONGRESS, he knows the majority of people WILL ONLY THINK ABOUT THE HOUSE. I can understand being civil, but when EVIL is winning, it's time to "talk" a little louder.

In the voting cycles between 1998 and 2004, I lived in El Paso, Texas. Each time I had to produce my Drivers License (photo) and Voter ID before I could cast a vote. I was also listed on the Republican voter list that was checked off by the poll worker, and I was sent to "that side" of the room to vote.
